The Armenistis Lighthouse is one of the most photographed and impressive buildings on the island, Built in 1891 on Cape Armenistis, roughly five kilometres south-west of Chora, the lighthouse functioned without fail until 1983. The elderly lighthouse watches over the island of Tinos and the boats that approach.
