Atlasjet stands out in turkish aviation sector with its high level of service quality and customer
satisfaction. recently, the airline has co-established a new aviation company in russia with two rusian partners: npo mostovik, a reputable construction company, and governorship of omsk. 110 million dollars will be invested for projects to be realised in both fields.
The cooperation protocol signed on September 14, 2010 between the parties stated that the company to be established in order to provide airway transportation and airport management services would have its headquarters in Omsk, Russia.
According to the protocol signed by Atlasjet Chief Executive Officer Murat Ersoy, Governor of Omsk Leonid Polejaev, and NPO Mostovik Executive Oleg Shishov, the establishing procedures will have completed at the end of this year and the company will run an airport in Omsk, Siberia.
The company will also undertake the construction and administration of Omsk-Fedorovka Airport and cargoterminal. The airport will initially have a capacity of hosting one million passengers per year. Its construction is planned in a way to allow necessary expansions should the capacity grow in near future. Alongside of a passenger terminal, the construction of a high-capacity cargo terminal is also included in the same protocol. The airport and cargo terminal are planned to be complete and open in the first months of 2013.
The importance of the cargo terminal to be built in Omsk is increased with the customs union
protocol signed very recently between Russia and Kazakhstan, due to the close proximity of the city to the latter. Within the scope of the project, the railway that connects Russia to China in the east and Europe in the west will pass through the airport. In his post-signing ceremony speech, Atlasjet Chief Executive Officer Murat Ersoy said that the new partnership signed in Russia had a historical importance for Atlasjet, and he added, “We are preparing to convey our ten years of experience and knowledge in the field to Russia. This partnership is a sign of the trust our company has gained in the international arena. It is a milestone in the history of Atlasjet as well as a source of pride for us and our country.”
