Atlasjet, took delivery of three 90 passenger capacity CRJ900 type aircraft in Toronto, Canada to perform its regional and diagonal flights. Mr. Tuncay Doğaner, CEO of Atlasjet and Vice President of Board of Directors, delivered the symbolic keys to Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Prime Minister of Turkey. Atlasjet introduced their brand new airplanes by holding a ceremony with the participation of Mr. Binali Yıldırım, Minister of Transportation on 06.05.2006 at Adana Airport. Atlasjet is able to take off and land at all airports, including the ones that are limited in terms of performance, from the East to the Southwest of Anatolia by means of these aircraft complying with regional aviation technology that were brought to our country by means of a USD 75 million investment. Atlasjet will make a contribution regional aviation by flying 5 times a day and investing in 3 more aircraft in addition to two CRJ700s that have been flying all around Turkey from Tokat to Isparta, from Sanliurfa to Kahramanmaras; and to Usak, Edremit and Adiyaman. Atlasjet has currently been serving domestic lines with 2 Bombardier CRJ700s, each with a 70 passenger capacity. In 2006, Atlasjet will be the private airline company which owns the youngest fleet with the brand new Bombardier CRJ 900s that are quite appropriate for reliable and economical flights and have advanced movement abilities compared to bigger aircraft even on runways with the most difficult conditions.
